Our DuraDri Shorts are made from durable Nylon Oxford fabric with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, designed to keep you dry and comfortable in all conditions. Follow these care instructions to maintain their performance and longevity.

Washing Instructions

Machine Wash at 30°C with similar colours.
Use a mild detergent—avoid fabric softeners, bleach, or harsh chemicals, as they can break down the DWR coating.
Turn inside out before washing to reduce friction on the outer surface.
If heavily soiled, rinse in cold water before washing to prevent dirt from embedding in the fabric.

Drying

Line dry for best results.
If using a tumble dryer, select a low heat setting—heat can help reactivate the DWR coating, but excessive heat can damage the fabric.

Reactivating the DWR Coating

Over time, the DWR coating may wear down, causing water to stop beading on the surface. To restore water repellency:

Tumble dry on low heat for 10-15 minutes, if safe to do so.
If water no longer beads, apply a spray-on or wash-in DWR treatment designed for nylon fabrics.

Ironing

Do not iron directly on the fabric.
If necessary, use a low heat setting and place a cloth over the shorts.

Additional Care Tips

Zips: Fully close both zip pockets before washing to prevent snags.
Pull Cord: Tie loosely before washing to avoid it slipping into the waistband.
Avoid harsh abrasion: Repeated friction (such as rubbing against rough surfaces) can wear down the DWR coating faster.
